Second Muskegon Resident Beach Parking Pass Offer Ends Apr 30

April 23, 2021

City of Muskegon residents have until April 30 to receive two annual free beach parking passes per household. After that date, only one pass per household will be issued.

After the successful launch of paid parking at City beaches in 2020, residents have already been sent approximately 12,000 free beach parking passes for 2021. Paid parking at the beaches is enforced beginning May 15 through Sept. 15 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.

Residents can receive their free 2021 parking passes either in person at Muskegon City Hall in the police records office or through the City’s website and the annual passes will be mailed. Affix the pass on the driver’s side front windshield.

City Hall is at 933 Terrace. Use the entrance on the Jefferson Street side of City Hall for the Muskegon Police Department records office. Those requesting passes on line may do so at https://muskegon-mi.gov/parkingpass/ . Delivery of passes by mail may take four to six weeks.

The City of Muskegon’s paid parking program is for Pere Marquette, Lake Michigan, Margaret Drake Elliott and Kruse parks on Lake Michigan and Harbour Towne Park on Muskegon Lake. The 2021 prices for non-residents are $7 daily Monday-Thursday and $10 Friday-Sunday. Seasonal passes are $20.
