Public Notice City of Muskegon Procurement of Various Contractors for 2020-2021

 PUBLIC NOTICE

CITY OF MUSKEGON

PROCUREMENT OF CONTRACTORS

The programs for which these contractors would provide services include, but are not limited to: Community Development Block Grant, HOME Partnership Program, Muskegon County Senior Millage, and the Medicaid CHIP Lead Grant.  We are looking for local businesses in the areas of:  housing specification writer, realtor, real estate appraiser, lead abatement, residential building, and window supplier.   All licensed contractors are encouraged to bid.

The City of Muskegon is an Equal Opportunity Housing Provider and Employer.  We do business in accordance with Section 3 Regulations, Federal Fair Housing, and do not discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.

Bid packages will be available Monday, November 18, 2019 starting at 12:00 noon at Muskegon City Hall, Community and Neighborhood Services Office, 933 Terrace Street, Room 205, Muskegon, MI.  Completed bid packages are due in the Clerk’s Office at Muskegon City Hall on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, by 2 p.m.  This will be a sealed bid.  The outside of the envelope should include the contractor’s business name and trade type.  Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. The City of Muskegon reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Bidding contractors must show proof of the appropriate licenses, liability insurance, worker’s compensation and certifications for their line of work. They must also be prepared to provide references as well.
