Public Notice City of Muskegon Procurement Of Contractors, June 7, 2019




The programs for which these contractors would provide services include, but are not limited to: Community Development Block Grant, HOME Partnership Program and The Muskegon County Senior Millage.  We are looking for local businesses in the areas of: animal control, architecture, chimney/fireplace, deconstruction, demolition, energy audit, excavating, flooring, garage door installation and service, gutters, insulation, landscaping, lead and asbestos risk assessment/abatement, plumbing, residential building, roofing, septic/sewer, and structural engineer/surveyor.   All licensed contractors are encouraged to bid. 

We are seeking bid proposals from local realty and title service companies for the purpose of listing affordable housing constructed or rehabilitated with funding from HUD through the HOME Investment Partnership Program.   

We are also seeking bid proposals from vinyl siding installers and suppliers for our Vinyl Siding Program.

Bid packages will be available Monday, June 3, 2019 starting at 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m. at Muskegon City Hall, Community and Neighborhood Services Office, 933 Terrace Street, Room 205, Muskegon, MI.  Completed bid packages are due in the Clerk’s Office at Muskegon City Hall on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, by 2 p.m.  This will be a sealed bid.  The outside of the envelope should include the contractor’s business name and trade type.  Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. The City of Muskegon reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Bidding contractors must show proof of the appropriate licenses, liability insurance, worker’s compensation and certifications for their line of work. They must also be prepared to provide references as well.
