Public Notice City of Muskegon Procurement Of Contractors, February 4, 2019

The programs for which these contractors would provide services include, but are not limited to: Community Development Block Grant, HOME Partnership Program and Senior Millage. We are looking for local businesses in the areas of: animal control, architecture, appraisal, building, chimney/fireplace, cleaning, deconstruction, demolition, electrical, energy audit, excavating, flooring, foundation work, garage door installation and service, gutters, house building specification writing, insulation, landscaping, property maintenance (mowing, leaf, trash, and snow removal), lead and asbestos risk assessment/abatement, mechanical, painting, plumbing, roofing, septic/sewer, and structural engineer/surveyor. All licensed contractors are encouraged to bid.

We are seeking bid proposals from local realty and title service companies for the purpose of listing affordable housing constructed or rehabilitated with funding from HUD through the HOME Investment Partnership Program.

We are also seeking bid proposals from vinyl siding installers and suppliers for our Vinyl Siding Program.

Bid packages will be available Monday, January 28, 2019 starting at 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m. at Muskegon City Hall, Community and Neighborhood Services Office, 933 Terrace Street, Room 205, Muskegon, MI. Completed bid packages are due in the Clerk’s Office at Muskegon City Hall on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, by 2 p.m. (deadline has been extended). This will be a sealed bid. The outside of the envelope should include the contractor’s business name and trade type. Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. The City of Muskegon reserves the right to reject any or all bids. There will be a walk-through of the property (567 Leonard Ave, Muskegon MI, 49442) being used in the procurement process at the following times:

  • Thursday, February 7 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Tuesday, February 12 at 1:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m.

Bidding contractors must show proof of the appropriate licenses, liability insurance, worker’s compensation and certifications for their line of work. They must also be prepared to provide references as well.
