CITY OF MUSKEGON

PROCUREMENT OF CONTRACTORS

The programs for which these contractors would provide services include, but are not limited to: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Partnership Program (HOME), Muskegon County Senior Millage, DTE Program, Medicaid CHIP Lead Grant and the Healthy Homes Production Grant Program.  We are looking for qualified local businesses in the work areas of:  animal control, architecture, asbestos, chimney- fireplace, demolition, electrical, excavation, flooring, foundation, garage door installer, gutters, housing specification writer, insulator, interior cleaner, landscaper/lawn maintenance, lead abatement contractor, lead risk assessor, mechanical contractor, painter, plumber, realtor, radon tester, sewer and septic services, structural engineer surveyor, tree service, vinyl siding supplier, vinyl siding installer, real estate appraiser, residential building, and window supplier.  All licensed contractors are encouraged to bid. Section 3 contractors are strongly encouraged to bid.

Bid packages will be available Monday, January 31, 2020 at noon by phone or email request. Please call the Community and Neighborhood Services (CNS) Office at: (231)724-6717 or email: [email protected]. In person requests will be limited due to COVID-19 concerns. Completed bid packages are due in the City Clerk’s Office at Muskegon City Hall on Tuesday, February 15, by 2 p.m.  This will be a sealed bid.  The outside of the envelope must include the contractor’s business name and trade type.  Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. The City of Muskegon reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Bidding contractors must show proof of the appropriate licenses, liability insurance, worker’s compensation and certifications for their line of work. References may be requested upon review.
