Protect Your Drinking Water Public Meeting 5-25-2017(MOVED)

May 4, 2017

Dear Stakeholder,

Please Note: Venue and Date Change

The Muskegon Source Water Protection Committee has elected to move the meeting to be held on May 23 to May 25 the Grand Valley State University Innovation Hub. This was decided due to the anticipated interest in the issue.

If you plan to attend, we are asking that you please RSVP to Burt Staley ([email protected]).

The Committee was formed by the City of Muskegon to assist in the development of a drinking water source protection plan.

The effort is supported by a grant received from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. The City of Muskegon provided a 50% monetary match, for a total budget of $30,000.

The purpose of the plan is to document threats to the drinking water supply and to develop action items to address them. Key to the production of the plan is the Committee engaging the public in its development. The purpose of the first meeting is to introduce the public to the Committee and the project as well as to gather input regarding potential threats to their drinking water.

Please join us for the first public meeting scheduled for May 25, 2017 at the Grand Valley State University Muskegon Innovation Hub, 200 Viridian Drive Muskegon, Michigan between 1:30 and 3:00.

This meeting is open to everyone. Please see the attached flyer for event details.

We hope that you can join us!
