City of Muskegon Water and Sewer e-Bill Form
City of Muskegon Michigan water and sewer customers can now sign up to receive their monthly bill in an electronic, paperless format. By agreeing to receive your monthly water & sewer bill this way, you can help save paper, printing and postage costs. What’s more, you will receive a $0.75 credit on your monthly bill – a savings of $9.00 per year.
If you have questions, call the City Treasurer’s Office (231) 724-6720.
That’s really great! I get so many of my bills electronically already that this is a welcome addition. One thought for improvement though is recurring EFT payments, so I can just submit my credit card or checking account information and have the city automatically pull my payment each month. I’d sign up as soon as it was available!
Matt,
EFT is available. There is a form on the website.

Great! Thanks Mike. It would be a great idea to advertise that in an upcoming water bill too (if it’s not already). I appreciate the link.
Great idea Matt, I will pass that along.
Thanks,
Mike
If a customer chooses to still receive paper bills and not get the $0.75 credit, are they still able to review their bill online or is it necessary to give up paper bills to do this?
Sean, yes it is possible to view your bill online and still receive the paper bills in the mail. However, as you stated, you will not get the .75 credit.
Thank you.
I have yet to receive a water bill since signing up. My last one was the January paper statement. Every time I try to log on, it says invalid password. Every time I request my password, nothing is received. What am I doing wrong and please do not shut off my water!
Kerry,
Please call the City Treasurer’s Office (231) 724-6720 for assistance.
Thank you.
I have gotten no email notices about my water-sewer bill. How can I view my bill?

I keep trying to log into the muskegon ebills to view my waterbill and am having troubles. I’m entering as my access id “muskegonebills” and then i’m using my account number for both my username and password. i keep getting invalid log-in. for the access id, i’ve used no caps, all caps, caps on just the “m”, caps on the “m,e,b”, etc. I’ve tried a number of variations and am unable to access the online ebills. Any help would be great!!!!!
I want to look up past water/sewer bills online, but it won’t let me view older bills. How can I do this?
Steve,
You will only be able to view past water/sewer bills starting from when you signed up for the e-Billing service. It will then allow you to view up to a years worth of history on your water/sewer bills.
Thank you.
Last month I was able to see my bill. This month I am guessing what the bill amount is. I clicked on the address you gave the guy above for questions about this and came back to the same page. I like ebills but I would really like it if it automatically filled in the amount of the bill and allowed you to make a payment of whatever. Like the gas company or consumers. I hate having to get out my card each month and fill in all of the information over and over again. I guess I have become spoiled by other websites that do so much more. Thanks.
I have been waiting to get my water bill since June. I called the water department only to be told it must be my mistake that I have not gotten my bills. Now I go on line to read about others with problems. I like the idea of saving our city money for the benefit of the whole, but not if it goes to city servants paid by us tax payers who only want to put the blame on us for their mistakes. Own up to it and correct the problems with this system. If the city is not getting paid for water used, find out why and get the money owed for the services. I owe 6 months worth of water doesn’t that ring a bell to someone? Shouldn’t the water department workers be looking for that money? Shouldn’t they have contacted me about getting paid? What are they doing to correct this or do they care, after all who would fire them for not doing their jobs better? Does anyone think GMC or the US Treasury could afford not to collect money owed to them? The City needs money and the people paid to collect money aren’t doing their jobs.
You have to log on first muskegonebills is ID
then your account # minus the 0 that is the first # on account # that is your user name
then your password
Then go to print your bill and it will show every month’s bill. So you know how much to pay.
Trust me , It is a pain ,but I finally figured it out.
They need to update the site.
