MINUTES
A meeting of the Election Commission for the City of Muskegon was held at City
Hall, 933 Terrace Street, Muskegon, MI at 5:30 p.m., Monday, October 14, 2019.
Present: Election Commission Members —- Casey Allard, Wanda Matsey, and
Deputy City Clerk Kimberly Young.
Absent: Election Commission Member
— Betty lvory-Roberts
Moved by Matsey, second by Allard, to approve the minutes of the July 16, 2019
meeting — motion passes.
The Election Commission and Clerk staff discussed appointment of election
inspectors and the need to balance political parties as well as experience and
skills. There are a lot of alternates listed so we can pull from that list if the need
arises. Kim Young reviewed the contests on the ballot with the Election
Commission. The Election Commission was informed about equipment repairs
that had been made.
The Election Commission reviewed and approved the appointment of election
inspectors for the November 5, 2019 Election. Moved by Matsey, second by
Allard, to approve the potential election inspector list for November 5, 2019 as
presented.
Meeting adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
