HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION
MINUTES
November 1, 2016
Chairperson J. Hilt called the meeting to order at 4:23 p.m. and roll was taken.
MEMBERS PRESENT: J. Hilt, S. Kroes, K. Panozzo, L. Wood
MEMBERS ABSENT: A. Riegler, S. Radtke, D. Warren
STAFF PRESENT: M. Franzak, D. Renkenberger
OTHERS PRESENT: D. Hippchen, 325 Houston Ave.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion to approve the regular meeting minutes of September 6, 2016 was made by J. Hilt,
supported by K. Panozzo and unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS
Case 2016-15 – 325 Houston Avenue. Applicant: Dollie Hippchen. District: Houston. Current
Function: Residential. The applicant is seeking approval to replace the current wood siding on the
garage with vinyl siding. The wood siding on the house had already been replaced with vinyl.
J. Hilt asked if the siding to be used on the garage would be the same as what was on the house. D.
Hippchen stated that it would. She stated that she had obtained a repair estimate for the wood
siding, but it was very expensive. Since the house was already vinyl-sided, she was requesting to
install matching siding on the garage.
A motion to approve the request to replace the wood siding on the garage with vinyl siding, was
made by K. Panozzo, supported by L. Wood and unanimously approved.

Historic District Standards – The board was given copies of the HDC standards for review at a later
date.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:29 p.m.
