Board chair, G. Borgman called the meeting to order at 5:32pm.

A motion to approve the regular meeting minutes from January 4, 2018 was made by B.
Turnquist, supported by R. Mackie; unanimously supported.

EN1715626 – 425 Octavius St – Anthony & Angel Neuman, 2715 Peck St Apt 6 Muskegon
Hts, MI 49444

Angel Neuman stated that she would like to keep the home and fix the home. Neuman said they
are currently working on another home on Wood St. Staff indicated the taxes are 2 years behind
and there are outstanding fees and fines on the property as well.

A motion to table EN1715626 for 30 days. All fees and taxes must be paid before they return to
the HBA. Was made by B. Arthur supported by B. Krick and unanimously approved.

EN1716160 – 1138 Ireland Ave (Garage Only) – Ruth Ann Cashbaugh, 1138 Ireland Ave
Muskegon, MI 49441

Scott Musk- Informed the board the home is in an estate with five other interested parties will a
living will. Musk indicated they are going to court to determine who will pay for the garage
David Cashbaugh- Stated he would have fix the garage but he is not allowed on the property.

Both parties would like to keep and repair the garage.

J. Paulson requested the board table the case for 60 days so they can work it out in court who
will pay for the garage repairs.

A motion to table EN1716160 until the April 5 2018 HBA Meeting until the legal matter is cleared
up was made by B. Krick supported by B. Turnquist and unanimously approved.

EN1711935 – 987 E. Forest Ave (Garage Only)–Anthony & Kelley Sydnor, 987 E Forest Ave,
Muskegon, MI 49442

HBA did not hear this case as a demo permit was obtained on 1-29-18


EN1716494 – 496 Octavius St (Garage Only) Kirk & Julia Forney, 11691 Island Lakes Lane
Boca Raton, FL 33498

A motion to declare the structure substandard, dangerous and a public nuisance was made by
B. Krick, supported by R. Mackie; and unanimously approved.

Other Business

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 6:06 pm.
