MINUTES
Present: Commissioners Turnquist, Warren, Hood, Johnson, German, and Rinsema-Sybenga.
Absent: Mayor Gawron.
Presentation on DDA
Dave Alexander gave an overall review of the Downtown Development Authority. He reviewed
the members of the board and their long term strategic plan.
Martha Bottomley, Chair of the DDA Board, addressed the board and explained the
responsibilities and how the board has evolved as well as the fluctuation of the budget.
Suburban Nation Review - Chapter 2
Leighann Mikesell reviewed chapter two of the Suburban Nation book.
Midtown Square 2 Discussion
The City Manager gave an update on the loan from the landbank and how the City is going to
transfer ownership of the property to the Brownfield Authority so the properties could be
mortgaged.
Review of State Emergency Recreation Marihuana Rules
Jeff Lewis, Director of Public Safety, reviewed the State Emergency Recreation Marihuana rules
with City Commissioners.
