Hi Mayor! Need a favor. Is it possible for me to get 15 minutes of the commission’s attention at
a meeting? I don’t know if you are familiar with the Red Project out of GR or not, but they have
opened a naloxone distribution program here in Muskegon in conjunction with HealthWest.
They are very interested in doing a needle exchange as well. The program that they have in GR
has been exceptionally successful at reducing HIV and Hep C rates among needle users. They
would like to educate the commissioners and hopefully get their blessing on beginning the
process. I will be there in my public health capacity to answer any questions on communicable
disease as well. Can we get on the agenda?
If yes, can you give me a date to shoot for?
