                           MINUTES


Board Members Present:                      Minister William C. Muhammad
                                            David Bukala, Andrew Cirner,
                                            Ann Craig, Carlos Florez


Board Members Absent:                       William O’Shaughnessy, (Excused)
                                            Dardinella Hippchen, (Excused)
                                            Quintan Cooley



Staff Present:                              Denny Powers, Staff Liaison



Chairperson William Muhammad called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.


Chairperson Muhammad asked if everyone had a chance to read the previous meeting
minutes and if there were any corrections or additions. It was motioned, supported and
passed to approve the minutes as presented.


Old Business

None.
New Business


It was noted that the regular September meeting date falls on Labor Day and City Hall
will be closed.

It was motioned to not hold a September meeting. That motion was not supported and
died.

It was motioned to not hold a September meeting unless an appeal comes in within such a
timeline that a special meeting could be called for the following Monday. That motion
was supported and after discussion, passed with unanimous consent.

Mr. Cirner noted that he would be studying abroad in Prague August 20 through
December 16. The board consensus is that these will be excused absences.

There was a short discussion on the status of the Director of Public Safety’s last day and
where things are at in the replacement process.

None.




It was motioned and supported to adjourn the meeting.


The meeting was adjourned at 6:57 p.m.


The next meeting is October 3, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in room 103 of Muskegon City Hall.
