PERE MARQUETTE BEACH is the only beach location for a wedding at this time. Pere Marquette area holds approximately 50 people. Beach weddings are approved based on a non-exclusive agreement for a simple ceremony only. You are reserving 625 sq. feet of parks/beach space; the entire wedding ceremony must be confined to that space. City staff will have your reserved area roped off. Because of the limited allowable space, it is not appropriate for people considering a large formal wedding.
Public access to the beach must be maintained. It is against the law for us to prohibit public access to the beach in any way.
There is no access to power on the beach; a generator may be used.
CHANNEL WEDDING is an outdoor wedding space with a picnic shelter. Please be aware this shelter only seats 24 people. You are responsible for leaving facilities and surrounding grounds free of litter. Patrons must wipe clean the tables and clean spills on the floors.
All of our shelters have regular-standard 110 electrical outlets. It is highly recommended that you use surge protected electrical strips instead of extension cords. The City of Muskegon assumes no responsibility if your electrical items are damaged.
McGRAFT PARK LAGOON WEDDING. Maximum capacity is 50 people. There is no access to power at McGraft Lagoon; a generator may be used.

The City of Muskegon assumes no responsibility, financially or otherwise, for accidents or injuries sustained by individuals or groups of individuals using any facility. The park staff has the authority to require persons violating park rules or City ordinances to leave the park. Any violation of park rules or City ordinances may result in loss of reservation and prohibition or restriction of future access to facilities.
