Many find the walk along the channel wall great for exercise while watching the boat traffic and enjoying beautiful sunsets. Fishing is also a popular activity at the channel. The Lake Express ferry boat can be viewed traveling through the channel throughout the day.
A well shaded grassy area provides an ideal picnic location with 3 options for reserving table space. One large shelter accommodates approximately 80 persons; a smaller shelter situated on the channel wall accommodates approximately 24 people and groups of unsheltered tables may also be booked. The channel wall pavilion is often used for small scale weddings.
