CELEBRATING MUSKEGON – Public Art Initiative

June 16, 2020

Following in the footsteps of Moxie, the giant bronze mastodon sculpture outside the Lakeshore Museum Center, and her Minis, who invaded downtown last fall, Muskegon needs your support in introducing its next installation of public art: CELEBRATING MUSKEGON. The city’s wonderful collection of public art has been growing in recent years, and this work in the new traffic circle at Beach and Lakeshore entering the city’s Pere Marquette Park will be the next great addition.

. This is a community effort and cannot happen without your support. Every donation is tax deductible, and 100% of your contribution goes to the public art piece presented below!

Additionally, the Muskegon community is in a position to leverage a dollar-for-dollar match program with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) through its Public Spaces Community Places crowdgranting program. If the $50,000 funding goal is met, every dollar raised through this crowdfunding effort will be matched, dollar-for-dollar by the MEDC; this is an opportunity to essentially double your donation, bringing the total raised to $100,000! Please, support Muskegon’s next public art piece today!
