The City would like individual bids for each address submitted. The City is looking to bid the addresses as a group for one (1) demolition contractor. The City would like to see all of the structures demolished by February 28, 2017 but no later than March 24, 2017 if possible. The demolition contractor will be responsible for the asbestos or lead testing as the City does not know if there is any located at the location. The City is also providing the Assessing record and the permitting information from the past in order to help with past use for the property.

  • The demolition contractor will need to cut & cap the water/sewer & in some instances; the Water/Sewer Maintenance Department will need to gain entry prior to the demolition to remove any water meters.
  • The City has notified DTE to cut & cap the natural gas.
  • The City has notified Consumers Energy to have the electric off, cut & removed from the structures.
  • The demolition contractor will need to work with the two adjacent property owners to each side of this structure for the demolition due to the close proximity of the demolition site. The owner to the South of this has a driveway that abuts the side of the structure. The other owner has a car lot with a fence that abuts this to the North.
