CITIZEN’S POLICE REVIEW BOARD
MINUTES
Meeting Date: Monday, August 6, 2018
Location: Muskegon City Hall, Room 103
Board Members Present: David Bukala, Ann Craig, Quintan Cooley, Josie James,
and William Muhammad.
Board Members Absent: Karla Better (Excused, Ruby Clark, (Absent), Carlos
Florez, (Absent)
Staff Present: Samantha Ferguson, Staff Liaison
The meeting was called to order at 6:46pm, by Co. A quorum was present.
Approval of the Previous Minutes
D. Bukula moved to accept the minutes as presented, seconded by A. Craig. No additional discussion.
Unanimous support. Motion carried.
Unfinished Business
Discussion concerning the potential for a Press Release to be available at the next meeting. Mr. Muhammed
requested the emails of the members and updated contact information from board members.
New Business
Board members reviewed the Receipt of Complaint #IA 18-02 and deposition and letter in reference to
Complaint #IA 18-01.
The next meeting will be held on October 1, 2018. The meeting date for September is September 3rd, which is
Labor Day.
The board was informed of the verbal resignation of Board Chair, Carlos Florez. Mr. Florez will be submitting
his official resignation to the City Clerk’s office. Discussion highlighted the process for applying for the board,
and the current vacancy.

Adjournment
A. Craig moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by J. James. Unanimously supported. Motion carried. The
meeting was adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
The next meeting is October 1, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in room 103 of Muskegon City Hall.
