CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS @ 5:30 P.M.
MINUTES
The Special Commission Meeting of the City of Muskegon was held at City Hall, 933
Terrace Street, Muskegon, Michigan at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2004.
Present: Mayor Stephen Warmington, Vice Mayor Bill Larson, Commissioner Chris
Carter, Kevin Davis, Stephen Gawron, Clara Shepherd, and Lawrence Spataro, City
Manager Bryon Mazade, and City Clerk Gail Kundinger.
2004-84 CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING:
A. Continuation of Budget Hearing from September 14, 2004, and to consider and
adopt the City of Muskegon 2005 Budget.
The Public Hearing reconvened at 5:31 p.m. to hear and consider any comments from
the public. City Manager Bryon Mazade reviewed information in his memo sent to the
Commission reference budget changes. Comments were heard from the
Commissioners, and Marc Johnson, 5827 S 48th Avenue, spoke reference his position
which is being eliminated.
Motion by Vice Mayor Larson, second by Commissioner Carter to close the Public
Hearing at 6:21 p.m.
ROLL VOTE: Ayes: Davis, Gawron, Larson, Shepherd, Spataro, Warmington, Carter
Nays: None
MOTION PASSES
Motion by Vice Mayor Larson, second by Commissioner Spataro, to accept the
proposal of 1 mill increase and three Police Officers and adopt the 2005 Budget.
ROLL VOTE: Ayes: Gawron, Larson, Shepherd, Spataro, Warmington, Carter, Davis
Nays: None
MOTION PASSES
ADJOURNMENT: The City Commission Meeting adjourned at 6:26 p.m.
