We have shelters that can be rented and reserved in the following locations:

• Seyferth
• Kruse (4 shelters)
• Margaret Drake Elliott (Pere Marquette)
• Beachwood
• Campbell
• McGraft Park

We also have a small shelter that sits by the Muskegon Channel. We also offer a group of chained picnic tables at Margaret Drake Elliott.

City of Muskegon Picnic Shelter Information and Policies – Please Read

Our facilities are handicapped accessible.

All shelters come with an attached grill and electricity (grouped tables have grill only).

There is NO ALCOHOL allowed in our city parks.

We have a NO REFUND policy.

All shelters at Kruse Park are numbered one (1) through four (4). Kruse #4 holds 200 people and is next to the restroom building. Kruse #1 is closest to the playground.

Two time sessions are available: 9:00 am until 3:00 pm, or 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm (we do not deviate from these set times).

Shelters rent out for $100.00 per time session + cleaning deposit. Exceptions:

• Kruse #4 (capacity 200); closest to restrooms is $125.00 per session + deposit
• Channel (capacity 25); $50.00 per session + deposit
• Uncovered grouped tables at Margaret Drake Elliott (approx. capacity 48); $50.00 per session + deposit

All shelters require a $50 cleaning/security deposit. Approved return of deposits will be processed in 7-10 business days after the reservation date.

Reservations may be made up to one year in advance from the date. All fees are due at the time the reservation is set (we do not place holds on any of our facilities).

Reservations may be made over the phone by credit card, or you may stop by the Engineering Office located in City Hall, 933 Terrace Street to pay by cash or check.

If paying by check, you may either provide one check for rental and deposit, or you may provide a separate check for deposit. If one check is provided, the deposit is eligible for a cash refund. If separate checks are provided, the deposit check will be returned to rental upon approval.

Deposits made by credit card will be credited back to credit card, if eligible.

Cash deposits will be returned, if eligible, by coming into the office within 7-10 business days.

A RESERVED sign will be posted. A park attendant will make an attempt to check with you to make sure that we have the correct renter in the correct location. Please have your reservation form with you in case there are any questions regarding the rental.

McGraft Park Building

• Weekdays, Weekends and Holidays: $100.00 for 4 hours, additional hours are $25/hour
• Security/Cleaning Deposit Required: $50
