Boat Launch Ramps

*Please consider a donation to the William G. Jackson Muskegon Lake Research Fund*

There are a number of boat launch ramps within the City of Muskegon. Each charge $10 per launch. You can pick up a yearly pass for $40 if you are a City of Muskegon resident or if you are not a resident, for $55.

The Muskegon Jaycees Boat Launch Ramp requires a fee and is closest to the Channel

The Grand Trunk Boat Launch / Ramp is just down the road from the Jaycees Launch.

The City Marina is called Hartshorn Marina and is a full fledged marina with a nice boat launch.

Fisherman’s Landing which accommodates both the car and trailer also has a special handicapped lift for boaters and a dry storage area for sailboats. Fish cleaning station and showers also included.

Don’t have a boat? No problem, check out our parks which contain some great waterfront beaches, both on Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake; did you know that Muskegon has one of the cleanest beaches in the United Sates? See our Muskegon Parks and Beach page for more information!
