Description: Under a command officer’s supervision, patrols assigned areas to prevent crime and maintain public safety and order by enforcing local ordinances and state and federal laws; or performs specialized work such as criminal investigations, undercover surveillance, or community officer.
Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. 18 years of age or older U.S. Citizen No felony convictions Valid motor vehicle operator’s license Acceptable driving record Able to pass police background investigation Be a licensed Police Officer or MCOLES eligible for licensing.

Salary Range: $35,635 starting salary + full benefits

Notes: Licensing eligibility requires an applicant be a Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards(MCOLES)Police Academy graduate; self-sponsorship acceptance to the MCOLES academy requires possession of at least an associate’s degree.
