Muskegon Passport Services Acceptance Agents Program
The City of Muskegon Clerk’s office has been designated as a Passport Acceptance Agency by the United States Department of State, Washington, D.C.
Staff in the City Clerk’s office will be available to provide convenient passport services to our customers.
Below is a list of those services:
- Provide passport customers with application forms and brochures.
- Answer questions during the application process.
- Ensure that customers submit completed applications so not to delay services.
- Ensure that customers submit the correct photos, citizenship documents, and appropriate fees.
- Administer the passport oath to customers.
- Witness customer’s signatures on the applications.
- Forward all documents to passport services in Chicago for further processing on a daily basis.
To obtain a U.S. Passport you must provide the following:
- Proof of Citizenship (certified birth or original naturalization certificate.)
- Valid picture identification (Driver’s License or Michigan State I.D.)
- Two identical 2″ x 2″ passport photos (white or light background.)
- Passport Application – available at Clerk’s office, must be completed in person.
