Emergency Assistance Program:
Provides emergency heating or roof repair if necessary to allow continued occupancy.
- Total Annual income: See Column B of income table. Income Table
- Property taxes must be paid
Paint Program
Provides exterior paint and supplies; labor also if elderly or physically unable to paint and there is no member of the household capable of doing the painting.
Total Annual income: See Column C of income table.
To receive free labor, must by 62 or older,or disabled.
Must not have received paint within the last 3 years.
Vinyl Siding Program
Installation of vinyl siding on homes and garages that are structurally sound but have extensive damage to the exterior siding or an un-paintable wood surface.
Total Annual income; See Column B of income table.
Additional requirements:
- Property taxes must be paid.
- A lien will be placed against the property for the cost of the work.
- The lien will be reduced 20% per year as long as the property is not sold or transferred.

Home Improvement Loan Program
- (HIP) 109 % loan for home repairs selected by the homeowner
- No luxury items.
- Maximum Assistance: N/A
- TOTAL ANNUAL INCOME: $41,700
- Additional Requirements: Property taxes and insurance must by paid.
- Must be able to repay loan.
CAAP Weatherization Grant
Providers attic, sidewall, floor, or bandjoist insulation, caulking, and water heater blanket.
- Maximum Assistance: $1.747 per unit
- Annual Income: See Column A of income table.
- Additional requirements: Dwelling can be done only once.

Department of Social Services Emergency Grant Program
Provides emergency furnace or boiler repair or replacement and provides
repairs to correct safety or health hazards.
- Maximum Assistance: furnace $1,500; Safety Hazard $ 1,500
- Total Annual Income: Special DSS formula counting gross income, child care expenses, number in family, etc.
- Additional requirements: Taxes must be current through last year.
- Home cannot be for sale.
- Limited assets allowed, and numerous additional requirements.

Michcon Loan Program
Loans are available at 13 percent Annual Percentage Rate(APR) to qualified residential consumers for the purchase and installation of a new natural gas service line, furnace, boiler water heater or the of converting present appliances. Payments are made in equal monthly installment over a period of 12 to 60 months.
