Sailing, Boating, and Fishing
Without a doubt, Muskegon is a boaters paradise. With the sheltered waters of Muskegon Lake and access to Lake Michigan, boating opportunities of all kinds await. Cruise the “Big Lake”, fish Muskegon Lake, spend a restful day at the dock or tour local attractions. Whatever your boating needs or interests, Muskegon is here to help.
The City of Muskegon provides 4 launch ramps. They are located at Hartshorn Marina, Fishermans Landing, Cottage Grove and Grand Trunk ramps on Lakeshore Drive. They serve thousands of boaters each year and even provide access for great ice fishing in winter (check out our Muskegon Salmon Fishing section). Ample parking and restrooms are available at Hartshorn Marina and Fishermans Landing. Fishermans Landing also offers camping, showers, a fish cleaning station, a chair lift for disability access and overnight docking.
