"The Myth of Flammable Stone"

"In 1469 when a farmer Denjiro-zaemon was making a fire outside for a meal in Touka village, he found a stone burning. This is the first time a coal stone is founded. In 1738, about three hundred years after the incident, Miike suzerain established a coal mine at Mt. Touka and got started an excavation. Miike coal mine has 500-year long history since coal stone was discovered."
