We just moved into the City in September. How and where is that calculated on the tax forms so we are only taxed for residence 1/3 of the year? Thanks!

One of the things you can do is make it easier to link to the meeting minutes. Right now you have to link to link to link and still you can't get the meeting minutes to come up. It really is a difficult task to simply read the minutes.

Michael, we have made some changes to the way the emails are going out. Many of them were ending up in spam folders, so this change should help in the delivery of these emails. Thank you for your patience.

Of course Muskegon is the 'beer tent capitol of the world'. It is the ONLY place in the world where there ARE beer tents! I have traveled far and wide, and have never come across anywhere else where people are encouraged to drive downtown, park, get drunk drinking beer in a tent, then drive home drunk. I find it difficult to believe all these people have designated drivers or call cabs. They drive to these things and they drive home when done. It is unfortunate the city puts the rest of us and our loved ones at such great risk as our police look the other way. This is a terrible example to set for anyone who may be interested in coming to visit our town, unless their primary hobby is to drink. Don't we have enough alcoholics on our roads without encouraging more? I can't believe in this day and age we blatently advertise 'beer tents' as a regular recreational activity. It's time to clean the town up. Our reputation for drugs and alcohol preceeds us. Am I the only one who sees how wrong this is, legally and economically?

I have signed up for the paperless water bill program, but have not received an e-mail yet as to what my monthly billing is. Last period that i was billed, or have seen a bill for, is from the period 12/01/09 to 01/05/10. It was with that bill that I signed up for the new paperless plan.
When logging on the web site, your site doesn't show what the outstanding bill even is-- just lets you make a payment. That is a little hard to do when you don't know the present amount owed ! Have the new e-mail accounts just not been sent yet? Do I have to call each month to see what my balance is?- if so- I'll go back to the paper billing method.

I am new to the area and I was wondering what holiday park is used for. Are there soccer or baseball games there in the spring? If so, when?

Thank you for the beautiful videos of Muskegon. They took me back to another time and place, when my family and I would regularly visit Muskegon when I was a child. I have many fond memories of my family vacations, especially with my Dad, in Muskegon. As it has been just over 2 years now since my Dad has passed away, these videos serves as a soothing reminder of the life that my Dad and I once lived on our vacations to Muskegon. Thank you for posting!
